Pastors Wesley & Veronica Hardy
Wesley and Veronica Hardy are the Senior Pastors of River of Life Church
Wesley and Veronica Hardy served as music ministers at Cathedral of Faith Church in Chesapeake VA, New Community Church in Raleigh NC, and Grace Bible Fellowship in Cary NC over the course of 21 years before they were ordained for pastoral ministry in 2010.
After serving in the music ministry, and eventually serving as Associate Pastors at River of Life Raleigh, Founding Pastor Ina Newell installed Pastors Wesley and Veronica as Senior Pastors on January 4th, 2026

David and Ina Newell are the Founding Pastors of River of Life Church
The late David Newell along with his wife Ina Newell planted the River of Life Church Raleigh in 1997. Ina Newell installed new Senior Pastors Wesley & Veronica Hardy in January 2026 to lead the church. Ina Newell continues on as a member pastor in the Pastoral Care Staff serving under the new senior pastors.
David Newell received a Master’s degree at Princeton Theological Seminary and Ina received her Bachelor of Science degree at Loyola University. David and Ina met and married in New Orleans at Word of Faith in 1970. They both spent 25 years as staff pastors under Pastor Charles Green, developing the youth ministry and founding Word of Faith Bible College. After 1 year on the evangelistic field, they came into the Triangle region in order to plant River of Life.
